Most Projects Include these 5 Steps
1. No Cost, No Obligation In-Home Consultation
We visit your home for a site visit, looking at your current windows and doors. We offer consultations to the greater Tacoma area and its communities including XZY (other biggest searched locations 3).Then we talk about your needs, budget and timeline. Replacing windows and doors is a big decision and financial investment. We understand that it may take a few visits. By offering consults morning, afternoon or evening, we work with your schedule. You are under no obligation to purchase from us post-visit, but we certainly hope we’ve made a great impression so you’ll choose us when you’re ready.
2. Agreement of Proposed Work
After our visit, we submit a detailed proposal with a clear description of the product and project scope. Once an agreed contract is in place and deposit is made, your project manager will provide a clear plan of action. You’ll have this same project manager throughout the entire renovation process. The project manager then writes up a detailed work request for the “critical measure.”
3. Critical Measure
Critical measure takes place within 7 business days of the signed agreement. One of our lead installers schedules time for precise measurement of your window or door openings. At this time we also take “before” photos of the project and create a material list. We do many measurements from the exterior, but each project is different and may require access for accurate information. This point in the process is a good time for any questions or changes.
4. Order & Installation Scheduling
Once we determine the arrival date of the new windows and/or doors, we schedule the installation date with you. We’ll also give you a courtesy call just prior to the installation date to confirm. In some cases, specialty products have extended lead-times which we find out after order. We notify you right away should this occur. Generally, a whole house of windows can be installed within 2 to 5 days, but variances occur.
Our crew arrives onsite between 8:30 am – 9:30 am each day. Each day our lead installer will do a “pre-walk” to go over the installation order. Feel free to ask questions and get to know the team. We encourage you to communicate with your project manager or lead installer, so we know all work is being completed to your satisfaction.
Our crews clean up each day and will never leave your home unsecured or put plywood over openings. On the last day of installation, your lead installer or project manager performs a final walk through with you, reviews maintenance and warranty information and collects the final balance once the completion certificate is authorized.
